Welcome to PharmacovigilanceAnalytics.com!
This site will provide you with the latest information on pharmacovigilance analytics (PV analytics), with emphasis on new technological advances related to big data analytics, artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, data mining, text and information mining, and visualization tools, among others, and how they integrate with drug safety and pharmacovigilance.
You will also find the latest news to keep you up-to-date in the field. A manually picked selection of content curated by ourselves, will also give you the most relevant information found in scientific journals and publications.
I’m allowing you to get in my own pharmacovigilance analytics workshop, where I apply all sorts of techniques to drug safety and pharmacovigilance data, with the aim of extracting the diamond, data normally hide, even though I will not work on data mining exclusively.
Our passion is to help providing knowledge discovery on the factors governing the association between the exposure to a medicinal product and its effects on the population
My name is Jose Rossello and I am passionate about learning, teaching, and sharing what I learn. My medical specialty is Preventive Medicine and Public Health. I also hold a PhD in Public Health, and a Masters in Health Care Management.
Since very early in my career, I became interested in quantitative methods, like biostatistics and epidemiologic analysis, and their application to knowledge discovery. To me, analyzing data makes me feel exactly the same as if I was working at the bench trying to discover a new link, association, something new that could eventually help to improve the health of individuals and populations.
Epidemiologic surveillance, prevention and control of diseases and adverse events, whether or not associated to the use of medicines, are aspects of my work I am comfortable with. I came to the ‘industry’ through the door of drug safety and pharmacovigilance. I have worked as a PV scientist, PV physician and, why not, PV physician scientist!
That’s why my ideal situation is working on the field of data analysis applied to pharmacovigilance and drug safety, in a broad sense.
